Description
Ivy House is a near-detached house built with unpainted roughcast and features painted stucco dressings. It has a slate flat-eaved roof and rendered end stacks. The building has a basement and two storeys, with a three-window range of original hornless 12-pane sash windows that have painted slate sills. The entrance includes a four-panel half-glazed door topped with a traceried overlight. Architectural details include stucco angle strips, a sill band, and window surrounds with keystones. To the left, there is a basement door with a small window next to it, leading to a raised terraced garden. This garden is enclosed by a roughcast whitewashed retaining wall, complemented by delicate iron railings, a matching gate, and openwork wrought-iron piers. Access to the garden is provided by four slate steps, with an additional four broad slate steps leading up to the front door.
