Description

1 Lewis Terrace is a row of three terraced houses, with number 3 built on a slightly raised terrace. The houses are faced in painted roughcast with painted stucco detailing, topped with slate roofs and stone chimney stacks. Each house has a two-storey, two-window front, with numbers 1 and 2 forming a mirrored pair. They have bracketted eaves and stucco surrounds to the windows, incorporating keystones and angle strips. A sill band runs across the first floor. The windows are plate glass sashes, with doors featuring overlights, set within early 20th-century glazed porches with flat roofs. Number 1 has had its ground-floor window altered to create a wider 20th-century opening and features a corniced porch supported by chamfered piers. Number 2 has a more simple, enclosed porch. Number 3, on the leeward side, has a 20th-century dormer window and an enclosed porch.
