Description

This building, located at the rear of No 15 Market Street, is a two-storey structure with a three-window whitewashed rubble front. It was originally the stables for No 15 Market Street and is one of the few remaining examples of its kind from the original town plan. The building has been modernly converted into living accommodation. It features a slate roof with two rubble stacks. On the first floor, there are two and three-light recessed casement windows, while the ground floor has 12-pane sash windows, all set under timber lintels. There is some brick rebuilding next to the recessed boarded stable door entrance, which is also under a long timber lintel, with deeply recessed windows to the right. The end walls are made of rubble.
