Description
The Prince of Wales Public House is a simple classical building dating from the 19th century. It is two storeys high and features a three-window front made of scribed render, with rusticated quoins and a plinth. The hipped slate roof is complemented by two cement render chimney stacks and wide boarded eaves. The building has 12-pane sash windows with plain reveals, lugged architraves, and ornamental keystones. There is a blocked former entrance in the centre of the ground floor, which is topped by a dentiled cornice hood supported by curved brackets.
The right side of the building is plain, with a similar window on the ground floor and a later part-open lean-to that serves as the current entrance. Extensions at the rear are not considered to be of special interest.
