Description

1 Victoria Street is a simple classical building dating from the 18th century, arranged over two storeys with a three-window facade. The front is finished with a scribed render and features rusticated quoins. The slate roof is hipped, with an advanced section at each end forming a small pavilion, and is topped with cresting. Wide boarded eaves and seven cement-rendered stacks are also visible. Number 3 has a rusticated ground floor. The windows are predominantly 12-pane sashes, although later 2-pane sashes have been introduced to numbers 1, 4 and 6. All windows except those at number 3 have lugged architraves and keystones; number 3 has lintels. The entrances share similar detailing, with panelled doors to numbers 2 through 6 (although the door at number 5 is modern), and a modern door to number 1.
