Description

5 Victoria Street is a simple classical building dating from the 19th century. It is two stories tall with a three-window front, featuring scribed render and rusticated quoins. The building has slate roofs that are hipped and advanced at the end pavilion (No 1), which includes cresting. The eaves are wide boarded, and there are seven cement render stacks. No 3 has a rusticated ground floor. The windows consist of 12-pane sash windows for Nos 2, 3, and 5, while Nos 1, 4, and 6 have later 20-pane sash windows. All windows, except for No 3, have lugged architraves and keystones, with No 3 featuring lintels instead. The entrances display similar detailing, with panelled doors for Nos 2 to 6 (modern for No 5) and a modern door for No 1.
