Description
The Angel Hotel is a three-storey building with a stucco front and rubble stone construction, topped with a slate roof featuring deep eaves and rebuilt red brick end stacks. The façade has five windows, with bracketed eaves and 4-pane sash windows on the second floor, while the first floor has plate glass sash windows, all equipped with slate sills and stucco flat hoods. The first-floor hoods also feature keystones. On the ground floor, there is a carriage arch to the left and a door situated between two tripartite plate glass sashes, which are not aligned with the windows above. The ground floor also has similar stucco hoods. The entrance includes a six-panel door, a blank overlight, and a Roman Doric timber porch supported by two columns, with pilaster responds, a triglyph frieze, and a cornice.
To the right, there is a low two-storey wing with 20th-century openings on each floor and a slate roof. The rear of the building has brick window heads and a long rubble stone rear wing.
