Description
The gates and piers at Blaenpant are a notable feature, constructed from painted, rusticated Cilgerran stone. Each pier has a moulded base, fluted frieze, cornice, and a pyramid cap. The two wrought-iron gates are designed to ramp down to a meeting stile and feature scrolled spearhead rails, as well as scrolled mid-rail and bottom rail with dog bars in between. On either side of the gates, there are low walls made of rubblestone, which curve in a quadrant shape and ramp up to each pier.
