Description

Pont Llangorwen is a small hump-backed road bridge constructed from locally sourced, quarry-faced squared stone arranged in courses. It measures 2.9 meters in width and features a single-span design with a broad segmental arch made of voussoirs. Above the arch, there is a ramped string-course, and the bridge has a ramped parapet topped with large coping stones made of Silurian shale. The bridge has out-turned square end piers. The outer face of the west parapet was damaged by a vehicle collision in 1997. An Ordnance Survey datum point is located on the inner face of the east parapet.
