Description
18 Marine Terrace is a Grade II listed building featuring a three-storey structure with a basement and attic, showcasing stucco fronts of varying widths. The building has a two-window design for Nos 19 and 20, a broader front for No 19, and a three-window, double-fronted layout for No 18. It includes end pilaster strips, a first-floor cill band, and a rusticated ground floor that is channelled for No 18. The roofs are slate, with No 20 having a modern replacement, and there are bracket eaves along with cement render chimney stacks. The windows feature horned sash glazing, and there are pitched roof dormers with bargeboards. Bay windows flank the central entrance of No 18, while Nos 19 and 20 have bay windows to the left of their entrances. The building displays cornices above the bays and architraves around the other windows. The Victorian half-glazed raised porches have ornate ironwork parapets, with No 18 featuring coloured glass. The entrance to No 18 has a half-glazed door, while Nos 19 and 20 have six-panel doors with panelled reveals, and No 20 includes a traceried fanlight. All entrances are accessed by steps with original interlace railings, and there is mixed glazing in the basement.
