Description
17 Marine Terrace is a three-storey building with a basement and attic, featuring two-window fronts. It is part of a pair with No 16, and both are reflected in design. The ground floors of Nos 15, 16, and 17 are rusticated, with No 15 finished in cement render and Nos 16 and 17 in scribed stucco. No 15 has grooved end pilaster strips. The roofs are slate with bracket eaves and brick chimney stacks, and there are pitched roof dormers with pedimented ends on No 17. The windows are horned sash glazing, and No 15 has twin bay windows with cornices and panelled aprons, while similar bays are located to the right of an unspecified number and to the left of No 17. There is a half-glazed porch with a traceried fanlight over the entrance to No 15, and a combined raised Doric porch for Nos 16 and 17, which features a triglyph frieze and panelled reveals. The entrances have Gothick traceried fanlights over panelled and half-glazed doors, and there are small pane sash basement windows. The right side is slate hung, and No 14 is adjacent to the right, connected by a narrow passage leading to the Crynfryn buildings. Some Regency style details have been retained in the interior.
