Description
16 Marine Terrace is a three-storey building with a basement and attic, featuring two-window fronts. It is part of a pair with No 17, while No 15 is a separate structure. The ground floors of all three buildings are rusticated, with No 15 finished in cement render and Nos 16 and 17 in scribed stucco. The roofs are slate with bracket eaves and brick chimney stacks, and there are pitched roof dormers, with No 17 having pedimented ends. The windows are horned sash glazing, and No 15 includes twin bay windows with cornices and panelled aprons, similar to the bays on the right of an adjacent building and to the left of No 17.
The entrance to No 15 features a half-glazed porch with a traceried fanlight above, while Nos 16 and 17 share a raised Doric porch with a triglyph frieze and panelled reveals, along with Gothick traceried fanlights over their panelled and half-glazed doors. The basement windows have small pane sash designs. The right side of the building is slate hung, and No 14 is adjacent on the right, connected by a narrow passage that leads to the Crynfryn buildings. Some Regency style details are retained in the interior.
