Description
The barn at Noyadd Trefawr is a Grade II listed structure built from rubble stone with a slate roof. The walls are slightly battered and the barn is built into a slope at the western end. To the right of the center, there is a segmental-arched low doorway featuring stone voussoirs, and to the left, there are two loops at mid-height. Under the eaves, there is a row of paired dove-holes with a slate shelf, and a second row of dove-holes is located below to the right. An added lower range to the right has a corrugated iron roof and features a tall cambered-arched doorway with stone voussoirs to the left of center, along with a small window on each side. The eastern end gable has five tiers of dove-holes.
Inside the main barn, there are graffito dates of 1786 and 1798 found in the doorway. The roof consists of five bays with two collars on each truss. The floor is partly slate, with bed-rock visible at the upper end, and there is a rear door. It is noted that the roof of the lower barn was said to have been burnt in the later 20th century.
