Description
The War Memorial is made of yellow limestone, possibly from Doulting, and features a tall Celtic cross on a stepped base. It stands on three hexagonal steps and has affixed slate plaques that list the names of 25 men, including Sir Edward Webley-Parry-Pryse Bt of Noyadd Trefawr. The cross has an octagonal base with a finely lettered inscription on the front that reads, "To the glory of God and in proud and grateful memory of the men from this parish who laid down their lives for their country in the Great War 1914-18 Gwell angau na chiy wilydd." The rear of the cross is incised with "1939-1945." The base transitions from a square to an octagonal shape, featuring curved bosses at four angles. Above, the slim cross has a square base that tapers into an octagonal shaft, with the cross itself having trefoil ends to the arms and being encircled.
