Description
The Coach-House and Bellcote Range at Noyadd Trefawr is a 19th-century structure built of rubble stone with slate roofs. It consists of two ranges: the upper west range, which serves as a tack-room and coach-house, is a single storey featuring a ridge stone stack. A short southwest return connects to Stable Cottage and has a blocked door that has been converted into a window. The south front includes the tack-room with a ledged door and a four-pane window, both with timber lintels. To the right, there are two broad elliptical-arched coach entries made with stone voussoirs and rebated angles, which have been infilled in the 20th century with double doors on the left and a window on the right.
The lower range to the right is set back and has a lower roof line, but it is two storeys due to the slope of the land. The eastern end features a stone bellcote with an arch, a plain cornice, and a slightly concave gabled stone cap. The south front has large external stone loft stairs with slate treads and iron rails topped with acorn finials. The loft door is located to the right of centre, breaking the eaves under the stone gable, with a timber lintel above. There is a casement window under the eaves to the left, and the ground floor has a casement window to the right of the stairs.
On the north side, facing the third court (main farmyard), there are three elliptical-arched cart entries with stone voussoirs, which have been infilled with rubble stone and casement windows. The first floor features a pair of casement windows on each side and a single casement window in the centre, all positioned under the eaves and are 20th-century openings. A straight joint on the right indicates that the lower building is an addition. The rear of the upper building is mostly windowless, except for a small 20th-century opening under the eaves. A short northern return has a door with an overlight facing east. Additionally, there is a later cow-house that extends to the north.
