Description
Penralltycordde is a two-storey building constructed from sandstone rubble, which was formerly whitewashed, and features a slate roof with stone stacks at the ends. The front has three windows, all hornless sashes, with 12 panes on the ground floor and smaller windows above, originally 9 panes, but the centre window has been replaced with a 12-pane version. There is a ledged door with a small-paned overlight above it. Ground floor sandstone voussoirs are present, and a date plaque above the door reads "1807 J. Jones".
The east end wall has three small stone ledges in the gable, with a 9-pane window to the left on the first floor, and to the right in the end wall of the outshut, there is one window on each floor. The outshut at the rear includes two small upper windows, a central door, and a window to the right.
Inside, there is a large fireplace on the west end with an oak lintel, a plank door, and a 6-panel door leading to the parlour, which has a small stone fireplace. The interior features plank partitions for the centre passage and first floor landing, a dog-leg stair with a stick baluster landing rail, and a half-landing that goes through the main internal spine wall. The roof is supported by pegged collar trusses.
