Description
10 Alban Square is a terrace of two-storey buildings featuring simple classical designs with two-window fronts. Nos 10 and 11 have a cement render finish, No 12 has a scribed render, and No 13 is roughcast. The buildings have end pilaster strips, plinths, and a cill band at No 10, along with slate roofs, wide boarded eaves, and a combination of five rendered and one rubble chimney stacks. The sash windows, which mostly have glazing bars, are primarily 12-pane, with 16-pane ground floor windows at Nos 10 and 14. All windows feature lugged architraves and keystones, except for No 14. The ground floor windows of Nos 10 and 14 are set in segmental arched recesses, while those of Nos 11 and 12 align with the first floor. No 13 has a later 19th-century two-storey splayed and gabled bay with ornamental bargeboards, a finial, and two-light sash glazing with panelled decoration between the floors and at the base. The arched entrances consist of two orders with panelled architraves and keystones; Nos 10 to 12 have recessed six-panel doors with six-pane fanlights, No 13 has a three-panel door, and No 14 features a six-panel door with a five-pane fanlight. There are iron railings in front of No 14.
