Description

Regent House is a simple classical building constructed in roughcast and scribed render, featuring two storeys and three-window fronts with rusticated quoins. The design includes advanced hipped roof end pavilions, slate roofs, wide boarded eaves, and seven cement render chimney stacks. The windows are 12-pane sash types, with 16-pane windows on the ground floors of Nos 1 and 5. The first-floor windows have lugged architraves, while the ground floor windows are set in segmental arched recesses, all adorned with ornamental keystones. Notably, the ground floor left window of No 6 (Talbot House Hair Fashions) lacks glazing bars, and there is a shop front (Coco) to the right.

Nos 1 and 6 feature an open pedimented doorcase, with a flagpole at No 1. The arched entrances at Nos 2 and 5 have architraves and keystones, leading to recessed doors: No 1 has a 6-panel door with a 6-pane fanlight, No 2 has a later door, No 3 has a 3-panel door with a 5-pane fanlight, No 4 has an 8-panel door, No 5 has a 6-panel door, and No 6 has an 8-panel door with a 6-pane fanlight and panelled reveals, along with a further 4-panel door to the right.

The left side of No 1 is scribed rendered and has two sash windows, while the extensions to the rear are not of special interest. The right side of No 6 is roughcast and also has two sash windows. The interior of No 1 has been converted to offices.
