Description

13 Alban Square is a terrace of two-storey buildings featuring simple classical designs with two-window fronts. The buildings at numbers 10 and 11 have a cement render finish, number 12 has a scribed render, and number 13 is roughcast. The terrace includes end pilaster strips, plinths, and a cill band at number 10. The roofs are slate, with wide boarded eaves and five rendered chimney stacks alongside one rubble chimney stack.

The sash windows, mostly with glazing bars, vary across the terrace; number 11 and the later bay at number 13 do not have glazing bars. The windows are primarily 12-pane, with 16-pane ground floor windows at numbers 10 and 14. All windows feature lugged architraves and keystones, except for number 14. The ground floor windows at numbers 10 and 14 are set within segmental arched recesses, with number 10 having a lugged architrave and keystone, while number 14 has a plain architrave. The ground floor windows at numbers 11 and 12 mirror those on the first floor.

Number 13 includes a later 19th-century two-storey splayed and gabled bay, adorned with ornamental bargeboards, a finial, and two-light sash glazing, along with panelled decoration between the floors and at the base. The arched entrances are designed with two orders, featuring panelled architraves and keystones. The recessed doors consist of a six-panel design with a six-pane fanlight at numbers 10 to 12, a three-panel door at number 13, and a six-panel door with a five-pane fanlight at number 14.

Additionally, there are iron railings in front of number 14.
