Description
Tan-yr-allt is a building constructed of rubble with a slate roof and projecting bracketed eaves featuring bargeboards. It has rubble gable chimney stacks, including one at the rear left. The front of the building consists of three bays with pointed windows that have stone voussoirs. The first floor is fitted with 9/6-pane horned sash windows that have intersecting upper glazing bars, while the ground floor features 12/6 horned sash windows with similar glazing. There is a central pointed doorway that includes a 20th-century panelled door and a 6-pane fanlight with intersecting glazing bars. Above the door, there is a bracketed gabled canopy with a decorative bargeboard.
The right end of the building is blank and whitewashed, while the left end has a 20th-century window leading to a contemporary rear outshut, also featuring stone voussoirs. The rear is whitewashed and includes a large central projecting gabled porch with a round arched doorway that has stone voussoirs, a 20th-century door, and a plain fanlight. The porch extends to a whitewashed rubble court wall at the rear.
