Description
This is a house of Tudor Revival style, dating to the 19th century, built with elevations of coursed rubble and a slate roof, featuring stone chimney stacks. The front elevation, two storeys high, has two windows. An advanced bay to the right has a gable and cross roof, a stone parapet, and broad stepped kneelers. A shallow projection to the centre is topped with crenellations and a cornice, above which is a two-light window with a returned label over a splayed bay. A similar first-floor window is located to the left, above a modern boarded door and a returned label.
The broader elevation to the right flanks a drive entry. This has an advanced, gabled section, which itself features a shallow advanced bay splayed out on the ground floor in the same manner as on the front. Both the gabled and window projections have stepped kneelers; the gable rises to the chimney stack with chamfered edges and brickwork at the top. A pilaster descends from this into a narrow projection with a figurehead corbel base. The full width of the gabled section has a plinth. Two narrow first-floor windows are contained under a deep Tudor label, with a crenellated parapet above the bay window below. The rear is roughcast.
A rubble wall continues south, bordering the drive and garden for approximately 35 metres. At the northern end is a four-centred arch doorway with a deep Tudor label. An advanced section to the right contains a blocked three-light window which formerly served a gardener's cottage.
