97 Heol Maengwyn

97 Heol Maengwyn is a three-storey building featuring scribed render on the front, with rusticated quoins, a plinth, and moulded architraves on the first and ground floors. The roof is slate, recently renewed for No 97, with overhanging eaves and rubble end chimney stacks that have weathercoursing on the gable end. The windows are horned four-pane sashes, although the central windows have been blocked. There are twinned doorcases at the centre, which include coved cornice brackets, panelled pilasters, panelled doors, and plain overlights, as well as cellar openings. The 19th-century refronting is narrower than the original building, causing the left end of the front to be corbelled back at the top to align with the rubble gable end. Alterations were in progress as of June 1990.
