Description
The Glyndwr Hotel is a three-storey building featuring a three-window front made of scribed render, accented with rusticated quoins that alternate in decoration, a plinth, and other detailing. It has a slate roof with wide eaves and end chimney stacks, one of which is made of red brick. The building showcases lugged architraves around horned, 12-pane sash windows, with a modern blind hood above the central window on the first floor.
On the ground floor, there is a fret pattern fascia with end brackets over panelled pilasters, and the windows are adorned with dentilled and swept cornices. The entrance is highlighted by a strongly ornamented porch in the High Victorian classical style, featuring a parapet with Welsh dragons above a deeply bracketed dentil cornice, with the brackets intricately carved with painted foliage. Flanking the entrance is a pair of pilasters that support a six-panel door. The rear of the building is slate hung and includes modern windows.
