Description
This is a two-storey cottage, likely dating from the 18th century, situated to the rear of Morris Cottage. The front facade is characterised by a rubble construction with an L-window arrangement, presenting pairs of windows symmetrically. Number 5 has been whitewashed. The roofs are slate-covered and feature three rendered and truncated chimney stacks. The windows vary: numbers 1, 2, and 4 have nine and twelve-pane sash windows, number 3 has small-pane metal frame casements, number 5 has been modernised, and number 6 has nine and four-pane sash windows on the ground floor. All windows have slate lintels. The doors are boarded for numbers 1, 2, and 4; number 1 has a four-pane overlight, number 3 features a four-panel door, number 5 has a modern door, and number 6 has a half-glazed door. A low rubble rear wall is present, featuring a blocked central doorway. The cottage was unoccupied at the time of inspection in September 1989.
