Description

This milestone dates from the late 18th century and is made of tapered limestone with a gabled top. It features incised lettering that has been crudely overpainted, reading "Miles PooL 7/Oswestry 8". This milestone is part of a series of mile markers that were likely erected following the first Montgomeryshire Turnpike Act of 1756.
