Description
Greenfield House is a two-storey building constructed of red brick, featuring plinth courses and decorative dentil and oversailing courses at the eaves. The roof is slate, hipped at the front, with twin gables at the rear that connect to wings, which also have similar decorative brick courses around the verges. The house has cellars and four brick stacks, with two located at the rear of the main section and two at the gable ends of the wings.
The front facade includes three windows, which are double-hung sashes set beneath stone flat arches with painted cills. A stone portico, accessed by two steps, is supported by Tuscan columns and features a plain frieze and a moulded cornice. Stone pilasters flank a former door opening, which has been infilled with a modern sash window. The side walls have a regular arrangement of identical windows, while the garden side features a pair of narrower sashes, one of which has been altered to create a door opening.
