Description

Red brick with dentil eaves course, west gable rendered, slate roof. Two storeys and cellar, single pile, two gable end stacks and ridge stack to left of centre in line with a straight joint in the brickwork. The rooms in the left hand portion of the house were used as granary, dairy and accommodation for farm workers. A summoning bell hangs on the left hand corner under pitched roof canopy.

Three window range to right hand (family) portion of house, all under brick arches with flat heads. Centre upper opening formerly blind. Two similar openings to left side of house, all with three light wooden casements. Central front door to right hand portion, plank with large decorative external strap hinges, open-fronted trellis work porch with hipped roof.

Rear elevation has tall stair light, two-light wooden casements under segmental arch heads and a modern casement in blocked former opening to granary loft.

Relatively unaltered. Right hand family rooms have large exposed beams with narrow chamfer and step stops. Basement kitchen and dairy with massive stone flags to floor.
