Description

Parson's Bridge, located over the Montgomeryshire Canal, is a simple trabeated structure featuring "fish-bellied" cast iron girders that support a modern timber deck and handrails. The bridge has steep approaches leading up to rubble abutments. The east abutment has a steeply ramped base and curving ends with piers, along with brickwork parapets topped with stone cappings. The west abutment retains some original rubble facings and buttresses but has been largely rebuilt in later brick.
