Description
Trewyn Fawr Farmhouse is a two-storey building constructed from roughly coursed tooled slate in long narrow blocks, featuring a plinth and a moulded eaves cornice, topped with slate roofs. The farmhouse has gable end and front wall stacks. It has a long plan with a rear wing on the left side. The central entrance is flanked by two widely spaced windows on each floor. The entrance consists of a plank door with an overlight and a slate lintel. One ground floor window has been enlarged, while a second has been renewed in its original opening but reduced in height. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes, with two of them replaced by pivoting small-paned windows. The brick stacks on the gable end and front wall include a chimney that projects to the right of the entrance and has been raised in height. The right-hand gable stack extends beyond the wall line, and there is a side doorway next to it towards the rear, along with a blocked doorway above it on the first floor, indicating that the first floor may have been used for storage. Additionally, a small pantry or store-room projects alongside the stack towards the front of the building.
