Description
Capel Seion is a chapel built from roughly coursed and squared stone, featuring freestone dressings and a slate roof. The entrance is located in the gable facing the street, consisting of a shallow segmental archway with a stilted hood-mould within a shallow gabled porch projection. On either side of the entrance, there are full-height round-arched window recesses, set back in pointed arched panels. The lower windows have flat stone lintels, while the upper windows feature round arched heads with impost bands. Above the entrance, there is a composite geometric window in a round-arched recess, which includes triple round-arched lights with a continuous impost band and a quatrefoil window above. The chapel displays decorative quoining at the angles and ball finials on the gable coping. The building has five-window return elevations and is two storeys high, with round-arched upper windows and shaped stone lintels for the lower openings. All windows are sashes with margin lights. At the rear, a separate school room forms a range at right angles to the chapel, connected by a single storeyed lobby.
