Description
The Former Mount Zion Primitive Methodist Chapel and Graveyard is a single-storey building constructed with roughly squared limestone walls, featuring sandstone door and window surrounds. The slate roof is adorned with terra-cotta ridge cresting. The gable front has a central stone porch that includes a round-headed doorway and a blocked fanlight. On either side of the porch, there are tall round-headed windows with key-blocked arches, and above the porch is a small name plaque, which is now very eroded, showing only the words 'Chapel' and 'M...'. The entrance has a modern, plain wood door. Each side elevation features two tall square-headed 24-pane sash windows, and there is a mid-ridge vent covered with slate.
Inside, the chapel has a wood panelled dado and the front windows are fitted with coloured glass marginal panes. The flat ceiling is decorated with an embossed pattern, narrow coving, and a central vent outlet.
