Description
This is a free-standing war memorial made of pale green and white moulded and glazed faience blocks. It features a dark green cast-iron drinking bowl positioned above a segmental arch. Below this arch, there is a recessed and inset tablet that includes an inscription and floral leaf decoration, set beneath a semi-circular arch with an acanthus key-stone. On the left side, there are cast emblems of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, and on the right side, emblems of the Grenadier Guards. The memorial has a rubble stone rear support wall and flanking walls, which include marble tablets commemorating the First and Second World Wars, added later.
