Description

Maerdy Farmhouse is a two-storey red brick building, which was formerly rendered, and features a slate roof. It was raised to three storeys in the 19th century. The farmhouse has a three-bay plan with gable stacks and an added central rear wing. The central entrance door is flanked by tripartite windows on both the ground and first floors, while there is a 12-pane sash window above the entrance. The building includes plat bands and a nine-paned iron casement window with pivot lights on the second floor. The rear wing is also two storeys high and has a gable stack.
