Description
W. Henry Price is a three-storey building with a three-window front that is whitewashed and cement rendered, featuring a plinth. It has an old slate roof with slightly swept eaves and boarded edges, along with stock brick chimney stacks that have blue-brick bands and one skylight. The building has recessed sash windows with cills; the second floor has 6-pane windows, while the first floor features 12-pane windows, including a tripartite horned sash window on the left. The ground floor has modern shopfronts with an overall boarded fascia and raked plate glass windows, along with a central half-glazed door.
The elevation facing China Street is similar, also with three windows. There is an additional entrance combined with the right-hand shop window, and a metal frame casement window on the second floor retains some glazing bars. The left gable end of the building is slate hung. At the rear, the area behind the L-plan front ranges includes a gable-ended cross range and a cat slide roof extension that is slate hung, added after 1887. There is considerable use of corrugated iron, and a rubble boundary wall encloses the rear yard.
The interior of the building has been extensively altered.
