Description
16 Bridge Street is a three-storey building with a wide, two-window front made of painted roughcast, topped with a slate roof and red brick chimney stacks. The building features painted quoins and cill bands, with a kneeler on the right-hand gable. The second floor has 12-pane sash windows with stone dressings, while the first floor includes a 16-pane sash window on the left, which has a leaf motif on the lintel, similar to the window above it. To the right, there is a splayed oriel window with a panelled apron and horned sash glazing. The building also displays a central date plaque and the Prince of Wales feathers.
There are three shop fronts; the left one has two windows flanking a half-glazed door, with Regency roundels above pilasters. The sash windows on the left have marginal glazing bars at the top, and the right side features round arched heads, indicating it was formerly a butcher's shop. The central shop front has a bracket fascia with small showcases at the pilasters, a modern window, and a splayed entrance. The right shop front has a three-light window with later glazing.
At the rear, there is a one-window cross range with small pane sashes. The property includes a cobbled yard.
