Description

Wendy's Nursery is a two-storey building with a one-window whitewashed brick front, topped with a hipped slate roof that features wide boarded eaves and a large red brick chimney stack at the rear. The first floor has a twinned horned sash window with a cill, while the ground floor showcases a Victorian full-width shopfront complete with pilasters, a six-pane window, panelled reveals, and a half-glazed door with a fanlight. A view from around 1870 indicates that the building originally had a round arched headed window and did not include a shopfront. The right side elevation is constructed of stock brick and includes sash windows and a four-panel door, while the rear is finished in pebbledash.
