Description

This building at 2 Bridge Street is a three-storey structure with a two-window front, constructed from local red brick and topped with a slate roof and brick chimneys. The second floor features two windows with nine-pane casement glazing and stone sills. On the first floor, there are two twelve-pane hornless sash windows, also with stone sills.

The ground floor has an early 19th-century shopfront on the right, which includes a doorway and a window set beneath a shallow cornice. The shop window is almost square and small, while the doorway has a six-panelled door with a rectangular overlight and panelled jambs. To the left of the shopfront is an entrance doorway with a pedimented doorcase, panelled returns, and a six-panelled door. To the right of this doorway is a small-pane hornless sash window, although the glazing bars have been removed from the lower sash.
