Description
26 The Village is a pair of 18th-century, two-storey cottages built from rubble with a hipped slate roof. The rear of No 25 features a distinctive and tall corner chimney stack, while No 26 has a later brick stack that has been heightened.
No 26 has a rendered front, but the render has been removed from No 25. Both cottages have modern glazing inserted into their original openings, which are topped with voussoir lintels. There are lean-tos at either end, and No 25 includes an added gabled porch. The rear elevations, which are colourwashed rubble, feature tall staircase windows.
