Description
Magna Cottage is a pair of cottages built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed from rubble stone, with a stone slate roof on No 24 and Bridgwater tiles on No 25. Both cottages have end wall stacks and are two storeys high, featuring double fronted designs. Each cottage has leaded casement windows on either side of a central door. No 24 includes a small 19th-century timber oriel that has replaced the original upper right window, while the lower windows retain their original timber frames. The door is set in a lean-to porch. No 25 features original iron opening lights on the ground floor left and first floor right, with a door that has a decorative 19th-century gabled hood supported by curved timber brackets. The cottages are included for their group value.
