Description
These are two early 19th-century cottages located on the north side of Eastgate. They are constructed of coursed rubble with a pantile roof and a central rendered stack. The cottages have two storeys and two windows each. No. 36 has glazing bars to the first-floor windows. The ground floor of No. 35 has one window, and a half-glazed door with a rectangular fanlight and lintel above. No. 36 features a modern "Georgian" bow window and a modern door with a rectangular fanlight and lintel, both under a stone lintel. The ground floor of both cottages is rendered up to window height. Nos. 18 to 25 and 30 to 37 form a group.
