Description

No. 114 Eastgate is a mid-19th century building that stands two storeys high, constructed from coursed rubble with a modern pantile roof. It features two windows on each storey, with lintels on the ground floor and no glazing bars. The doorway is adorned with plain pilasters and a cornice supported by consoles, leading to two four-panel doors beneath a rectangular fanlight. Brick stacks are located at the gable ends. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 105 to 126, the Royal Oak Public House, the Employment Exchange, No. 133, and the Crossways Hotel, with Nos. 105 to 111, No. 126, the Royal Oak Public House, and the Crossways Hotel being of local interest.
