8 & 9 Commercial Street, Penygloddga, Newtown

3 storey, one window, roughcast brick reflected pair. Gently pitched slate roof (new to No 8). Saw toothed eaves cornice, plain bargeboards, central brick stack. Shallow 8 pane hopper windows to 2nd floor. No 9 retains 16 pane sashes to 1st and ground floor. Modern windows to No 8. Modern cement architraves. Stone sills. Small, lead camed, window with bulls-eye glass to 2nd floor rear of No 9. Original doorcase with bracketed, leaded drip-board and original 6 panel door to No 9. Modern door to No 8. Reflected staircases with plain iron handrails lead up to doorways.
