Description
North Moel-Y-Garth Farmhouse is a 17th-century building featuring a three-panel high timber frame filled with wattle and daub. The top plate is moulded under the eaves. It has paned timber windows and a raking dormer on the first floor. The timber framing is raised on a stone substructure at the northeast end, which includes a gable door leading to a cellar room. The gable has principal rafters with a double tier of purlins and raking struts. The chimney stack has been rebuilt in brick above the roof. There is a gabled porch supported on brackets with ball pendants, and a boarded door.
The interior was not accessible during the inspection in November 1994, but it is noted to have chamfered cross beams in the main living hall and a staircase in the inner room.
