Description

Drovers Tea Rooms & Restaurant is a two-storey building with a slate roof and a rubble masonry chimney that has been extended in red brick. The front and back walls are timber framed and covered with render, featuring some applied light timber framing. The wall at the west end, where the chimney is located, is made of rubble masonry.

The front of the building is asymmetrical, highlighted by a central gable that has a blocked small square window. On the first floor, there are four 12-pane horned sash windows set very shallowly. The design resembles a Victorian public house front, complete with a bracketed cornice above and a stepped plinth. To the right and left of the entrance door are three large small-pane tripartite sash windows, with a fixed window beside the passage entrance. The entrance features glazed double doors with a fanlight above. The right gable end has a very large projecting chimney. On the ground floor, to the left, there is a wide passage leading to the lane, with exposed beams overhead, and to the right, a narrow entrance door.

At the rear, there is some modern slate hanging on the first floor above the passage, along with a modern window frame. There is a long range constructed of brick and rubble stone that runs at right angles to the road, which formerly housed a brewery for the public house.

Inside, the building has exposed timber framing on the front wall and timber-framed partition walls.
