Description
The Barley Mow Public House is a low two-storey building dating from the 18th century. It features a slate roof and a rubble masonry chimney on the left side. The front elevation is made of rubble masonry that is covered with roughcast render, and it has a smooth rendered plinth.
The building has a four-window front on the first floor, which includes four hornless 12-pane sash windows with stone sills. The doorway is topped with a small bracketed canopy and is flanked by one window on the left and two on the right, all of which are horned 12-pane sashes. At the rear, there are two parallel adjoining gabled extensions that are two storeys high and positioned at right angles to the road. These extensions have rendered end chimneys and broad hornless sash windows set under cambered openings.
