Description
Peterwell is a late Georgian building that stands two storeys high and features two windows across its front. The roof is slate, hipped to the right, with bracketed eaves. A yellow brick chimney is located at the left gable end. The front is finished in painted render with a shallow plinth and a pilaster strip on the left side. The gable end is made of grey rubble masonry. At the back, there is a two-storey extension with an attic, constructed from local grey stone and red brick.
The front of the building showcases double storey semi-circular bays, each fitted with tripartite small pane hornless sash windows. The window frames meet the wall and are accentuated by fluted Doric pilasters. A wooden trellis porch with a lead canopy shelters the panelled front door.
Inside, the building features some timber-framed partitioning and an A-frame roof with pegged joints.
