Description
The Original Fish & Chip Shop is a two-storey building with a three-window front, constructed from roughly coursed squared rubble, showing some signs of rebuilding or extension on the right side. It features a slate roof with stone end chimneys, although the right chimney is rendered.
On the first floor, there are three small windows set at the eaves, each being 12-pane hornless sashes. The ground floor has a window matching those above on the left, along with a doorway, both under stone lintels. There is a shop window with a wooden surround and a cornice above, and to the right, there is another doorway. The gable end facing north is rendered, with one 12-pane hornless sash window on the first floor to the left.
A lean-to extension is present on the ground floor, which can be seen in a photograph from around 1875. This extension has exposed rubble facing the road and is rendered on the north side, featuring modern glazing and a corrugated roof.
