Description

Penybont Farm is a two-storey farmhouse with two windows, constructed from white-painted uncoursed slate masonry. It features a slated roof with a tile ridge and stone chimneys at both ends. There is a low-roofed full-width rear extension made from similar materials, along with a modern two-storey rear wing built in brickwork that has side annexes. The rear extensions also include two stone chimneys. A slate plaque commemorating Nansi Richards is located on the front to the right.

The farmhouse has modern doors leading to a small 19th-century glazed front porch that is centrally positioned and has low side walls. The front windows are timber, featuring three lights in camber-headed openings both above and below. The left (south) gable includes a small attic window near the front, situated above the original staircase, while the right gable has a two-light small-pane attic window facing the front and a similar window at the rear for the upper storey.

Upon entering through the front door, you find yourself in the room on the left, which contains a large fireplace. To the left of this room, at the front of the house, is a winding staircase behind a door. The front room showcases exposed beams with simple stop-chamfered details. Although not fully inspected during the resurvey, it is reported that there are floors paved with large slate slabs.
