Description

The Railway Inn is a two-storey public house built in the 19th century, situated on a corner site. It features a low annexe to the right and a range of service buildings at the rear. The building is constructed of slate masonry, with yellow brick used only at the front. It has a slate roof with a tile ridge and a brick chimney stack at each end.

The windows are hornless sash type with 12 panes, set in camber-headed openings both above and below. The central entrance has a panelled door and is sheltered by a heavily designed porch that is open at the front and sides, supported by two front posts on low side walls and two rear brick piers. There are attic windows in the gable ends, and a hanging inn-sign is located on the right.
