Description
Pont Felin y ffridd is a bridge built of rubble stone. It features two low arches and a secondary flood arch that rise from two water piers. The two main arches are made of regular grey slate stone voussoirs, set back under a regulating course, and span onto a central water pier with cutwaters on both the upstream and downstream sides, which are stepped back to create flush spandrels and a parapet. Each main arch spans approximately 7.95 meters and supports a carriageway that is 4.35 meters wide, with parapets that are 55 centimeters wide, finished with packed stone-on-edge copings. The secondary arch is lower and constructed similarly. The upstream cutwater on the main water pier has been replaced with concrete, and the bridge has been reinforced with eight tie bars and iron compression plates.
